Start each day with a Grateful Heart!
Two words, ’Cultivate’ and ‘Beauty’ came to mind as I was writing in my gratitude journal today, this first day of January, (still in awe that not only is it already a new year but also the beginning of a new decade)
and as I wrote, I began to realize the abundance derived from my gratitude in 2019 which was very much the depiction of cultivating beauty.
Just as Elsie de Wolfe gracefully encourages us to cultivate beauty in every aspect of our life. “I am going to make everything around me beautiful-that will be my life.”
So, I researched the definitions in sentences, and here are a few meanings that are relevant to what I’d like to convey:
1. “To cultivate is to nurture and help grow” and to acquire or develop (a quality, sentiment, or skill).”
2. “True beauty is how you feel about yourself. Knowing and accepting who you are, despite what others think of you.” and “The way you think, your character and what you love doing is what makes you beautiful. A beautiful person is one who knows what they are worth. This is someone who views himself/herself as a worthy person without looking down on others or comparing themselves with others.”

So, if you’ve been thinking about a word or words that best describes the healthy lifestyle that you would like to embrace this year, these two words might be key to your successful path;
I know they are to mine.
As this new month, year, decade breathes its promising life into our resolutions, goals, dreams, creativity — let’s continue to Cultivate Beauty in our lives with grateful hearts. Because after all, a Healthy Lifestyle is living surrounded in Cultivated Beauty and Gratitude. ❤️
Wishing you a very healthy, happy and prosperous New Year.
